Description:  The final Sunday. My tribute to the 'Northlander'. This pic taken at Gormley (near the site of the new GO Station that will serve the Richmond Hill line) on Sunday morning - the last Sunday journey to Cochrane before this train is terminated for good on September 28, 2012. Regular passengers must really be looking forward to the 9-hour bus trip that will replace the journey by train.

Description:  BUT WAIT! How about a rousing encore for the 'Northlander'!?! I didn't expect to see this train ever again, but wouldn't you know it, after catching an incoming Saturday morning VIA train at Pine Orchard, then a CN freight at Herald Road, I stumbled onto the Northlander waiting at the Quaker siding and knew that I had not one moment to lose if I wanted to get a shot of her in the sunshine. I chased her (and I mean chased!) from Stouffville to Van Dorf, and just barely had time to leap out of the car, and snap this shot of the empty train as it hit the grade crossing at Warden Avenue - destined for its home base in the great Ontario north.
