Description: |
Built by the Canadian Locomotive Works in July of 1924 (serial #1757, class U-1-b), this 4-8-2 Mountain-type steam locomotive was one of 83 that filled the CN roster at one time. Now it sits in a storage/scrap line at Turcot yard in Montreal. The mighty beast served until retirement and scrapping in November of 1961. H. L. Goldsmith photo. |
