Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8686, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company during October of 1913 and retired in October of 1958 after 45 years of faithful service. In this context, it awaits its next assignment adjacent to the PRR's Engine House in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, on 31 March 1957.
