Description:  With Rich Mountain behind him and his train, the conductor of KCS #4590 gives a roll-by inspection to a southbound loaded coal train headed up the mountain at Page, OK. KCS #5000 is the rear DPU for the coal train that was led by KCS #4145. KCS #4590 is holding the main as the coal train takes the siding. The coal train will stop in the siding for a meet with another train stopped behind #4590.

Description:  A shot I want to get right is the head on angle coming past the building, but since I dont really have any decent shots of the new ET44s, I opted for this wider angle. The four head end units of the H train roll their 143 cars past the station-look at the rest of the train to the left of the station. Too bad I got dinked. This would have been a good open view in the sun. Win some, lose some.

Description:  I heard this southbound H train coming through Siloam Springs. Even if I hear a train at the first crossing in town, Country Club Rd, I cant get into town in time to get a shot, and getting across town on US 412 kills the chase most of the time, so I run down Ark 59 to US 62, then west to Westville OK. If he works Watts, I can usually get there before he heads south. Sometimes not. I started toward Watts, only to get about two miles out of town and see the train off to the east. I pulled the first U turn I could and tried for a shot at Westville. I got it, but not the one I wanted. Just as I apprached the Buffington Rd crossing, he was there. I turned on the side road, and was able to get a going away shot of the power.
