Description:  3804 was the only one not earning it's keep at this point. The other 3 diesels, and the 3 slugs are active on this train, as it does some switching at La Porte City. The entire train consist was 130 plus cars, which is quite a large train for the IANR!

Description:  We had taken our Winnebago to the plant in Forest City IA for some warranty work, and found an Iowa Northern job working on a Sunday. I wasnt able to get him working, I was blocked by trees, but he did come past the Winnebago parking lot when he was done. Nice looking units.

Title:  Headed...somewhere
Description:  This Iowa Northern power was working some cars at Forest City, then headed north when they were done, rolling past the Winnebago plant where I was parked. It was a lucky catch, and I have no idea where they were headed. This is a nice looking paint scheme, much nicer than the last time I encountered this road, in 1987. At that time, they were using ex BN Geeps, still in green, relettered.

This two locomotives usually work the job that runs south from here to Cumberland City, TN. This is the second Guthrie Shop that Corman has had. The original one was larger and was destroyed by a fire several years ago, taking several locomotives along with it.

Guthrie Shop
Title:  Guthrie Shop
Description:  R.J. Corman 3804 peaks its nose out of the shop at Guthrie on a dreary March Saturday. This shop is the second one in Guthrie. The original Guthrie shop was destroyed by fire in October, 2014 (also destroying several locomotives). This smaller shop was built to house the power for the Guthrie-Clarksville, TN leg of the railroad. A larger shop was constructed about twenty miles north of Guthrie at Russellville, KY and has assumed most of the Memphis Line repair duties.
