Ex-SP

Title:	Ex-SP
Description:	This Ex-SP SD40 was part of Southern Pacific's GRIP (General Rehabilitation and Improvement Program) in the early '80s where this locomotive became an SD40R. It was one of the lucky 17 that survived the SP/UP merger and was never renumbered. It was sold to GECX in 2001 and the "Pacific" was removed, leaving only the "Southern" on the side of the unit, making it appear as something that it clearly isn't. There is a VERY small GECX marking above the road number.
