Description:  CR 6440 - CR 3226 - CR 7797 - CR 3209 are the power for this unidentified westbound TV train with 89 cars and CR caboose 21125 as it passes through one of my favorite spots to spend the day watching and photographing trains for the day. Between the Conrail trains and the smattering of NS trains on the old Nickle Plate line we used to average 3 freights per hour.

Description:  WABH 11 is working on the DLW side today, and has pulled out onto the Chenango River bridge for headroom on a cut of cars being worked in front of the old station. Today's power is a GP 40, a step up from the GP 38's and B 23's that were common on this job. The Derby Knitting Mill, at right, burned to the ground in a spectacular fire in June 2011.

Description:  This photograph was taken in August 1993 along the Michigan Line where is flirts with the Huron River just west of Ann Arbor. Conrail was still sending DWEL (Detroit Wayne-Elkhart) out from Wayne before sunset at this time. It wasnt long before Autumn caught up with us and the available light vanished early on ... and then Conrail reverted to sending him west from CP-YPSI after Amtrak 352 passed him around 2100, making him a night time train once again. Gone were my evenings of knoshing on a Hot Trout sandwich from DeLongs BBQ down by the Huron River.
