Description:  Union Pacific Photo Part of my personal collection. This locomotive was built by the Rome Locomotive Works (aka New York Locomotive Works) in March 1890 (construction number 580) as Union Pacific 0-6-0 number 1177, rebuilt in 1903 to 2-6-0 and retaining the road number 1177. In 1915 the 2-6-0 was renumbered to 4000, and in 1919 it was rebuilt to 0-6-0T shop switcher, numbered 03199, and named CHEYENNE (2nd), scrapped in 1939.

UP 0-6-0 #4919 - Union Pacific
Title:  UP 0-6-0 #4919 - Union Pacific
Description:  Built by Baldwin in April of 1913 as Oregon RR & Navigation 0-6-0 #46 (serial #39639, it was absorbed into the UP roster in 1915 as UP #4919. The loco served faithfully for nearly 40 years before being scrapped in December of 1953. Specs - class S-2, 51" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 19x26" cylinders, modest engine weight of 140,000 lb, modest tractive effort of 27,376 lb. An unknown photogrpaher took this roster shot of the loco while it was at rest in a Seattle, Washington yard.
