Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2221, #2431, and #2262. #2221 is an EF-22 built by EMD in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #2431 is an AF-25 built by the American Locomotive Company in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2262 is an EF-25 built by EMD in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling an eastbound merchandise freight train through the Altoona Passenger Station and under the 12th Street Bridge on their way to Enola and points East. This train seems to have two "sections": the first has 37 cars and N-8 caboose #478086, the second has 35 cars and caboose #477746. |

And #2432 is a C425 built by the American Locomotive Company in March of 1965 for the PRR and rated at 2,500 horsepower. In this context, they're pulling a maifest freight train around the Horseshoe Curve and up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West.
