After about 30 minutes the bus company behind me called the coal train into the Crest Hill Police. They sure parked their car in a convienent place for incorperating it in the photo, and no, I was not questioned for taking photos! :)

Description:  The pair of vintage EJ&E SD38-2s enter the heavily modernized part of the Western Subdivision near Turner. It seemed like yesterday this was a line with 2-4 trains a day, and there were no gates on this crossing. That has certianly changed in a good way!
