BM 1455 on static display at the Edaville Railroad |
Description: |
I'm up in the cab with my daughter Carrie. This nicely-proportioned Mogul left Edaville in the 1990's and was on display at Hyannis, MA for a while. It's currently on static display at the Danbury, CT Railroad museum. For continuity sake, I've included a photo of B&M 1455 at Danbury (see next photo in this album). |

Nelson Blount's Edaville Railroad, one of the first locomotives acquired by the man that would later found Steamtown USA. After many years of display at South Carver, MA, it was moved further east to the Cape Cod Railroad at Hyannis, MA with plans for a restoration to active service which never occured. I sometimes found a 2-6-0 standing half way out the East Somerville roundhouse (Boston), usually in the company of the more numerous Pacifics.
