It was published originally in the June 1958 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 49. Bottom Photo Caption: "Almost 30 years later to the day, Pennsy No. 5, an FF-2 purchased from Great Northern, sparkles in new paint after modification in Altoona Shops." Photo by Don Wood. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5, an FF-2 (1-C-C-1) electric built by the American Locomotive Company as Great Northern number "5015" in March of 1930, rated at 3,300 horsepower, sold to the PRR and renumbered "6" in August of 1956, and retired in April of 1965 after 35 years of faithful service.
