MEC 613 |
Description: |
From the back of the print....“ MEC No613 and train. Type 2-8-2 Mattawamkeag Me December 1938“ If I am properly indexed to the water tank and freight house, the train is westbound with the locomotive having just crossed over the Mattawamkeag River. The train will drift to the left and down the old E&NA ROW towards Bangor along the Penobscot River. If this were a Canadian Pacific train it would head straight cross the Penobscot and move west towards Brownville and western Maine. MEC 613 a Class S locomotive running 180 lbs built by Aldo in December 1916. Sold in March 1951. Cyl 26.5x30 with 63 inch drivers. /DL |
