NOPB 0-6-0 20
Title:  NOPB 0-6-0 20
Description:  New Orleans Public Belt 0-6-0 No. 20 was pulling a train upriver at Canal Street. The train was passing under the pedestrian walkway to the Mississippi River ferry landing off to the right, while the Louisville & Nashville station is on the left. The 20, along with the 21 and 22, were the railroad's newest steam locomotives, having been built by Baldwin in January 1921. They were all authorized for retirement on 15 May 1957, but saw little service in their final years. Someone was getting an open-air ride up on the tender! (approximate day of photo)

Title:  NOPB 0-6-0 21
Description:  New Orleans Public Belt 0-6-0 No. 21 was parked at the railroad's engine terminal between assignments. By this time, 14 Baldwin diesels were handling most of the work and the railroad's three newest steam engines, 0-6-0 Nos. 20-22, were the only ones still around. These had been built by Baldwin in January 1921 and were authorized for retirement on 15 May 1957. (approximate day of photo)
