CB&Q Class XM-3B 47201
Title:  CB&Q Class XM-3B 47201
Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class XM-3B 47201 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in November 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The following is from the book, CB&Q Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment, by Michael J. Spoor: In addition to the XM-3A boxcars, Havelock ( CB&Q Shops in Nebraska ) built 400 XM-3B boxcars during 1963. The only major difference between the two series was that the XM-3B's were equipped with Keystone cushion underframes which resulted in these cars carrying the HYDRAULIC CUSHIONING slogan while the XM-3A's were adorned with the CUSHION UNDERFRAME lettering. Both classes had a 5,064 cu. ft. capacity. The Class XM-3B cars were numbered 47100 - 47499.
