Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class XM-4 47570 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in April 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The following is from the book, CB&Q Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment, by Michael J. Spoor: Built at Havelock ( CB&Q Shops in Nebraska ) in 1963, it was part of Class XM-4 which consisted of 300 cars built to a Northern Pacific design. Featuring single-sheathed, outside post construction with 8' plug main doors and 6' auxiliary plug doors, grain access doors ( at the top of the main door ) and a 5,080 cu. ft. capacity, these cars were numbered 47500 - 47799.
