Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class HC-1D 182348 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in July 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This car was one of 200 cars built between 1940 and 1961 by CB&Q's Havelock, Nebraska shops, rebuilt in 1968, reclassed as HC-1D, and renumbered into the number series 182250 - 182449. The Class HC-1D cars were painted in light gray ( body ) with black roller bearing trucks, Chinese red lettering, and full-color Scothlite heralds painted on the car sides between posts rather than a larger Scotchlite decal on a metal plate.
