Trailing the tanks
Title:  Trailing the tanks
Description:  The MIL special trains always had a caboose. These were for military escorts and CR police, who also followed the trains on the highway. We see 21286, which seemed to draw this duty on a regular basis, rolling east along US 11.

Van west
Title:  Van west
Description:  A familiar sight, CR N21 21286, rolls west on OIBU, making it look like a real freight train one day in a row. Cabooses were a novelty by this time, and it was always a surprise to see one on anything other than a local or special train. Note the ex NYSW RS 1 on the adjacent Tioga Central at right.
