Title:  CB&Q XML-8 10262
Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class XML-8 10262 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in June, 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This was one of 55 cars (CB&Q #'s 10215-10269, BN #'s 355015-355049) of this type built by Pullman-Standard during July 1965. They were specifically designed for the auto parts buisness, the diagonal stripe on the door indicating Evans DF2 belt rails were installed to secure the lading. Some of the cars were in assigned service, and this one is stencilled: WHEN EMPTY RETURN TO AGENT CB&Q RR OTTAWA ILL. Besides being assigned to GM parts plants, some cars (including this one) were assigned to the Libby Owens Ford Glass Company in Ottawa. It is placarded as containing Automotive Glass. It is also stenciled: THIS CAR EXCEEDS PLATE C.
