Amtrak coach-buffet-lounge 8410 was originally Chesapeake & Ohio 52-seat coach 1610, one of 59 such cars (1610-1668) built by Pullman-Standard in 1950. Two of the cars, 1610-1611, were rebuilt into coach-buffet-lounge cars in 1956, with no change of number; and became Amtrak 8410-8411 in 1971. The 8410 was photographed at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal on a special train from Chicago. |
