A CN container train approaches N. Lake St. as it heads northwest via former SOO rails at Neenah, WI, on 6 Jun. '20. Train had two locomotives, CN 3176 pulling as well as CN 3046 pushing. The parking lot is part of the former Lieber Lumber facility. Part of that facility is used as a warehouse by somebody, the office/retail building is currently home to the Valley Academy for the Arts, 139 N. Lake St. Herb & Dolly Smith Park lies beyond the tracks. |

A CNIS 412040 (stenciled Inspection and De Sécurité, this is the first time I've seen the French side) was part of the consist of a CN container train crossing Kampo Rd. as it headed southwest via former SOO rails at Neenah, WI, on 18 Jun. '20. In 2019 a few otherwise ordinary boxcars were converted to Autonomous Track Inspection Program (ATIP) cars. A remnant of the former C&NW main line, now relegated to a passing siding, runs parallel along the other side of the train. |
