Mini Submarines on the former WM Railroad Dock
The ship is the Tyco Global Link, a cable laying ship, hence the mini-submarines are used for cable.

Zach, if your refering to those orange things on the dock, those are lifeboats that are capable of being "dropped" off of a ship or oil platform without the benefit of lowing by cable. They are just cut loose so to speak and can drop 75 to 100 ft or so with the crew on board. They will briefly submerge and pop back to the surface. Designed for a real quick exit.

Cool, thank you for the clarification, Mr. Hoar. I was not aware of that, and based my explanation on the use of the ship thinking that a cable ship would have some sort of submersible. Learn something new each day.
