Ron Moraca General Awesome photo, Gary! An entire UP passenger train on the rails isn't an everyday experience anymore. 10/4/2008 8:20:17 PM
Casey Burg General that line was just west of Girard (i think), there was a line in Girard that was SP/SSW, and Became UP in 1996, so the lines were about 1/2 a mile apart. That line was removed in Late 1998/early 1999, being born in 1994, i dont remember it to well. I do remember seeing the end of a grain train on it around late 97 and the rusty rails for a while, and one day it was gone, i go over one of the former crossing once in a while, and nature is reclaiming it. I need to fo to it one day and look for remnents or glass insulators before the weeds get worse. 10/25/2008 11:25:28 PM
