Ken Roble General Is this date correct? This unit appears to be an ex-Erie Western RS3, but the Erie Western didn't come into play until around 1978. This has to be later than that. If so, was the LOAM shut down when this was shot? Do you have pics of there rolling stock plus their ex-PC boxcars they received? 2/21/2008 8:14:40 PM
brian allison General Hi, The Erie Western and the Louisiana Midland where owned by Graig Burroughs. That's why the LM had two EW locos #1600 & #1602. They where both placed on the LM in July of 79. Number #1602 was never operated. Please e-mail me with any question on the LM you have I have over 350 plus photos and relics, and interviewed former employees and plan on a doing a history book on the old railroad.
