Chuck Zeiler	General	According to the Second Diesel Spotters Guide, this appears to be a Whitcomb 50 ton, Model S-3. Only five were built between Sept. 1954 - March 1956. The Whitcomb name does not appear on the locomotive because by the built date, Whitcomb was merged into B-L-H. Thanks for the photos of this rare unit.	2/12/2010 11:06:25 AM
