Probably the last NHRR coach to still wear Reading livery tcat the railroad painted it back into in the late 1980s is seen half primed for a new paint job.

Ken Houser General The 5 of the 6 NH&I ex-Reading cars were repainted into the Reading Company lettering in 1988, by then New Hope Steam Railway Vice President, Art Adams and Bill Coffey among others. All were numbered with exception of the 1430 by the end of that season. Car 1505 was the first painted since it was heavily vandalized at Lahaska while in temporary storage. Car 1202, then P&R #16 was not painted as it was not serviceable due to its floor being partially ripped out for repairs. 8/20/2012 8:57:48 PM
