79'         
A lot of things happened in 79', the 70's era was coming to a close, the Rock Island was in its last year of existence, the LS&I dismantled most everything east of Marquette, Chryslers bailout was approved, and this rail was rolled at Algoma Steel. With it being nearly 30 years since then, this ral is still used daily, as a matter of fact, five minutes after taking this shot a pair of SOO GP38-2's rolled past.
