Pretty massive, all right. I find it interesting that the stress path between the two couplers on the ends is THROUGH the tank itself. The tank is containing the internal pressure AND pulling the rest of the train. I would have thought that something like this would have a keel beam or something, and that would be the load path for the pulling all the mass attached to the end of the car. Also, a pressure vessal that long would seem to have some real structural weak points in the middle, in the axis perpendicular to the tracks. Any little impact in the sideways direction could have some dire consequences. But hey, I'm only an electrical engineer, not a structural one. Still, it seems odd that this kind of arrangement would be somehow better than two or three smaller tanks.
