CB&Q class DO-2 326 at the shops in Aurora, Illinois on July 17, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The following is from the book, "CB&Q Color Guide To Freight And Passenger Equipment", by Michael J. Spoor: "CB&Q #326 was one of two dining-lounge cars, Class DO-2. It had been outshopped by Pullman in October 1913 as dining car #168. It was converted to a dining-lounge configuration in 1934 which resulted in the dining area accommodating 18 patrons and the lounging room providing seats for 20." In the book Mike used a photo by F. Hol Wagner showing the car in active service at Kansas City in June 1963. It was scrapped at Eola, Illinois, August 27, 1965. |
