| Looking west, the yard limit marker is the end of the line at Elwood, KS on tracks that had been used over the years by UP (St Joseph & Grand Island), RI, OKKT and NEKM. Abandoned in 2004 when the UP bought out the NEKM, this route is disconnected in sections for several hundred yards east of here and then runs about two miles to St Joseph via the bridge over the Missouri River. What's left appears to be used largely for car storage now. |
