N&W 425
At WM's Maryland Junction shops, N&W 425 was ex-N&W 3904, nee-Wabash B904, one of the units built for NdeM but diverted to the Wabash, and used as a B-unit because all the controls were labeled in Spanish.

I guess that, back in those days, bilingual traincrewmen were hard to find, especially on the Wabash, Brian!! Great photo by VJB!!

The correct location is Carpendale, WV, but the town was not incorporated until 1990. It was locally considered to be part of Ridgeley, WV or on railroad maps, the WM referred to it as their Maryland Junction Shops.
