| Many of the corssbuck signs on 6th street in Augusta are unique from most. Some are on telephone poles some are on rotting post but none have warning lights and crossing bars because of the fact that the train runs down the middle of the street. Many of these signs are bent up and some I believe are even almost impossible for a motorist to see. Many tourist actually believe that the railroad is out of service and are often surprised to see the old Southern Railway line still in use. |
