KCS SD40-2 680
Kansas City Southern SD40-2 680 and 683 were at WEST YARD, just west of New Orleans. These were two of 14 KCS long-nose "snoot" units (677-690) which were originally equipped for radio-control helper operation, and these were very unusual in New Orleans until radio-control helpers were replaced by manned helpers. Not all of the r/c units were snoots, but they could all be identified by their three Motorola antennas, instead if just one.
