MILW FP45 3 at Bensenville, Illinois on an unknown day in February 1982, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in December 1968 (c/n 34160) on EMD Order 7121, MILW class 36-EP-6, it was sold for scrap to Miller Compressing in July 1984. It was delivered in UP's Armor Yellow paint scheme for use in passenger service, and when Amtrak took over passenger service, it was demoted to freight service and painted in the freight paint scheme, seen here. This was one of five FP45's on the Milwaukee (#'s 1-5), and one of only 14 of this model ever built. |
