CB&Q XM-5 9831 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in October 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. According to the book, "CB&Q Color Guide To Freight And Passenger Equipment", by Michael J. Spoor, Pullman-Standard delivered fifty 60'9" (inside length) auto parts cars to the Burlington in October 1963. Numbered 9800-9849 and designated Class XM-5, these 100-ton capacity cars had hydraulic cushioning, interior rub rails and two eight foot doors on each side. |
