ACFX 89352         
This 33,400-gallon car was on the Illinois Central Gulf at Jackson, Mississippi. It was from the 2-car series ACFX 89351-89352 and was unusua` for such a big tank car to have side ladders. Most 6- and 8-axle tank cars had end ladders. These two cars were built under ACF Industries Lot No. 71-14183 in 1970 for the Shippers' Car Line Division of ACF, and were initially leased to Rubicon Chemical Co. for toluene diisocyanate service. This car had a CAPY of 386,000 pounds and a LT WT of 140,000 pounds, for a gross rail load of 526,00 pounds. They were listed in the EQUIPMENT REGISTER from April 1970 until July 2001.
