ARR 32 is a Caper (CAb & PowER), i.e. has HEP (Head-End Power) for the coaches  Contributor's Pick!
De-engined, the inside of this old girl is empty except for the cab and a small HEP generator. The train is the Hurricane Turn. A standard freight SD40 on the other end powers the train. MU (multiple unit) wires run the length of the train. Thus the train does not have to be turned. Now for the fun. To find the horse power for any Alaska RR diesel round the unit number down to the closest 100. ARR #4312 is an SD70MAC and has 4300 hp. Round 32 down for the Caper, yep, zip!
