| UP 2963 leads two other 40-2s on a SB Herzog ballast train through Madison, WI. The tracks are owned by the UP, but leased to and maintained by the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad. The tracks parallel John Nolen Drive as the train is about to travel under the famous Monona Terrace. The NB lanes are a testament to how a long, slow-moving train can cause bottlenecks in Madison's isthmus during rush hour. |
