Southern Railway SD35 #3000 was built September 1965 and later became Norfolk Southern #3000. 13 years after Atlantic Coast Line ceased to exist, the "ACL RR" continues to live on this bridge. Interestingly, in 2010, this bridge still looks like this!!

Bryan Smith General As to the trailers, #138 from Columbus was scheduled to arrive Macon in time to have the pigs set over on #230 that came up from Jax and arrived Macon about the same time as #138. They then went north to Atlanta for forwarding to their final destinations. Southern made a genuine effort to keep the pigs moving, even from the smaller ramps such as Columbus. 7/19/2009 8:33:44 AM
