What in the hell is that white mast on the front of the unit?

There is a propeller on that mast. Checking air resistence? No one ever gave me a clear answer.

It is a Green Locomotive(snicker), the propeller generates electricity which is stored in the tanker behind the locomotive(snicker).

I think this is a excelent shot!! That car in the middle was used on long trips to fuel the engines.
