Seaboard Coast Line U36B #1782, with train WofA 212, in the siding
A three way meet is taking place in this photo as WofA train #213 has just passed and the Opelika to Montgomery local is pulling out behind #213 in the background. At this time, the interlocking had not been installed and the brakeman has walked up to the Southern Railway crossing to place lit fusees on both sides of the track.

Ken Roble General Is this train just beyond the coaling tower and is that a block signal in the back ground? I saw a pic of Opelika, AL in a Trains Illustrated magazine and the AWP/SOU crossing just has a Stop board for protection 9/14/2009 10:34:14 PM
