Fred Goff General Zac, the line from Durant to Gwin was built around 1882 by the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley Railroad & was called the West & East Railroad. The track between Lexington & Gwin was abandoned in 1978. The line from Durant to Lexington was abandoned on Feb. 24, 1982. Thanks for your question. 5/29/2013 10:30:27 PM
