BNSF seems to go too far with this swoosh. I know its their new logo and all, but just watch, this here will be the Heritage 4.

Now that's a nice looking patch job. Pretty cool how they used a matching painted logo instead of a green one!

THAT'S COOL!!! It's nice to see that BNSF tries to keep it's power looking nice when doing repaints, unlike some roads that just slap a one color does not fit all patch on it.

OK, this is new. But one question comes to mind. WHY would BNSF want another ragged out GP38 when their roster is filled with aging 4axles anyway???? While I credit the uniqueness, WHY is the question

Why did they buy these esepecially when they have the B40-8's in storage. It's interesting but seems to be a waste of money.

I agree that this seems like a total waste of money. But on the otherhand this is definetly a cool patch job! Reminds me of the CN ex-LMS units.

No one has said where the unit came from. It doesn't even look like a patch!

That has to be an Ex-Conrail Unit.

the reason they got these over the older gp60 & b40-8 because standard cab is easyer to switch and the control stand is much better, ask me how i know.
