Illinois Central #3996         
A surviving heavyweight dining car from Illinois Central’s Panama Limited. Built by Pullman in 1916 it ran between Chicago and New Orleans. After retirement from passenger service it was used as a support car in wreck train service. It was acquired by the Illinois Railway Museum in 1996 and moved to Union, IL in 1998.
