CRI&P C415 424, Blue Island, Illinois, October 1979, photo by Chuck Zeiler. This locomotive was built in December 1966 (c/n 3451-10), owned by the UP, and leased to the RI. When the Rock shut down in early 1980, the five C415's owned by the UP (#'s 420-424) were returned to the UP and stored at Omaha. All five were retired by the UP in December 1980, this unit and four others were sold to Brandon Corporation June 23, 1981 (#420 was scrapped by the UP).
