Alabama Southern Railroad
Photo dedicated in memory of Mr. Brad Smith, Trainmaster of Vicksburg Southern Railroad and previous Trainmaster of Alabama Southern Railroad (Tuscaloosa), who passed away in 2009. Our thoughts and prayers are for his wife and children, and co-workers at WATCO. Not only was Brad an experienced railroad professional of 18 years, he was also a gifted photographer and a friend to railfans in the Tuscaloosa area. Photo: Westbound ABS "Artesia" train at old GM&O milepost 68 near edge of Coker, Alabama. ABS extended the yard limit way out here, several miles from the yard. The white portion of the sign is KCS heritage. Photo sometime in 2007 I believe.
