On the summit  Contributor's Pick!       
Our train sits at the summit station, 6,288 ft. above sea level. A clear, sunny day like this is unusual at the top of Mt. Washington, whose winter weather rivals that of Antartica, with wind chill temps of minus 100F not uncommon.
