This is a BP4 built by Norfolk Southern and Brookville Locomotive, power comes from 1080 12 volt truck batteries. Brookville provided a regenerative brake system that recharges the batteries, but the unit still has to be plug into charge. NS has stated that the BP4 can work three shifts on a single charge and has pulled 29 cars.
