The Southern Railway only owned ten U33C's (3805-3814) and they spent much of their careers in maintenance-of-way service. On a dreary morning, 3807 and 3812 are on a welded rail train at New Orleans. The train is parked on the spur that served the American Standard plumbing fixture plant, just west of the Seabrook drawbridge. The northbound track here already has welded rail, while the southbound track still has jointed rail. |
