This Pierce ladder truck costed around 600,000 dollars.

I know there is an officer and a driver with a LOT of explaining to do. And with Detroit's major budget problems, I'd guess that it's going to be a while before it get replaced. Depending on how much equipment can be salvaged from the truck, I would not be surprised if the total replacement cost went over $700,000.
